I was hired in to a brand new position at the Michigan Association of Counties to be an in-house communicator for MAC. Prior to this, our organization worked only with an out-of-house professional. My responsibilities include creating, maintaining and building our online presence in social media networks as well as networking with elected officials across the state and communicating our messages to officials both at the state and local levels. We are a nonpartisan nonprofit that lobbies on behalf of the 83 counties in Michigan. It is our goal to provide a voice for county government at the state capitol. My job gives me the ability to meet people from across the great state of Michigan and see how our government works. MAC is one big supportive family that I am so happy and lucky to have joined!
