The URC is an alliance of the state’s three top research universities -- Michigan State University, the University of Michigan and Wayne State University.  It was established in recognition of the key role these institutions play in creating a vibrant Michigan economy. As program manager, I work to support inter-university collaborative programs and projects that leverage the intellectual capital of these URC institutions and proactively attract the knowledge economy businesses that can take advantage of the $1.8 billion in annual research and world-class talent produced across the URC.

As a Match Support Specialist, I ensure that the mentors and mentees are successful in their interactions with each other.  It is my role to address any concerns and to provide suggestions to parents, volunteers, and children to optimize their relationships with each other.  

In my job, I work as a support person to several account executives and I work to strengthen our relationships with clients and provide print and digital advertising solutions that meet their needs and exceed their expectations.

I am in charge of the spiritual development of Junior High, Senior High and Post-High School students attending Immanuel Community Reformed Church. This entails lesson planning, event planning, coordinating volunteers and communicating with various audiences (Parents, Congregants, Community Members, etc.) and a wide variety of other tasks.

I am managing a project for the State of Michigan Department of Community Health that is part of the Health Information Exchange (SOM HIE) program.  The project I  am managing is to prepare the DCH applications  to use the new International Classification of Disease (ICD-10) codes that all health providers must start using on October 1, 2014.

Weddings, locavore events, happy hours, birthdays, shoes, graphic design, wall art - I do it all. From full-on design and coordination to day-of styling, I’m tailoring event services to each client’s specific needs. I do graphic design for event literature and promotion, and I’m also here to help plan, organize and host the perfect event. Beyond these services, I have a passion for creating hand-drawn graphic illustration and fancy little things like hand-painted shoes. I believe in taking big visions and lofty ideas and making them into an event concept that can be brought to life. And I believe that there’s a place where those fancy little things can intertwine with corporate events, small-budget weddings, and enviro-chic parties to make each affair memorable and special. I want to make the world a more beautiful, fancy place one little (or big) celebration at a time.

In my current position as the Branch Manager at the Union Branch it is my responsibility to maintain a well-rounded understanding of the procedures and policies of MSU Federal Credit Union. It is also my duty to provide support and encouragement to aid in the growth and success of staff and the organization. It is important for me to lead by example and support the vision of the credit union.

Some of my responsibilities as a Branch Manager for the Downtown Branch are to be a strong leader for the branch through coaching and personal development.  To promote a positive environment for the membership and the employees.  To develop the staff for future career growth.  To be an example to the team to make a positive impact in the community!

I am the newest Communications Intern at Capital Area Michigan Works! I help set up, plan, and organize special events. I also help manage the social media outlets so the community can stay up to date on everything that is happening!

I am delighted to join the Arts Council's team in leading, advocating for, and advancing culture in the region!  The Arts Council provides education, funding, resources, and consulting services to artists and arts organizations.  As Program Manager, I am privileged to work with both those who love art and those who make art.  My primary responsibilities include: grants management, membership programs, and fund development assistance.  I also coordinate the SmArts Program for Creatives, which offers professional development to build creative businesses, careers or artistic skills in the arts.

As part of a new contract between the Greater Lansing Business Monthly and M3 Group, I have added the title of Editor of the Greater Lansing Business Monthly to my duties at M3 Group - a full-service branding agency in Lansing founded by Tiffany Dowling. As editor of the GLBM I am responsible for overseeing the production of the monthly publication, which has been sharing positive business news with the Lansing community for more than 25 years. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: working closely with publisher Chris Holman to generate story and photo ideas and concepts. I am in charge of assigning stories and photos, art direction, editing all copy in the magazine, handling print management, working with the editorial board to determine the editorial calendar, helping to coordinate social media needs, overseeing the website, assisting GLBM events coordinator on collateral material needs, attending events as GLBM representative. The contract also brought production of the Michigan Hospitality Review, published by the Michigan Licensed Beverage Association, to M3 Group. I work with the editor of that publication on production and layout needs as well as any art direction assistance I can offer.

I am responsible for new business development and building and maintaining relationships with our current clients and strategic partners and helping keep everyone in constant communication.

I will be overseeing a variety of events for the organization, including employee appreciation events, business meetings, community engagements, and other special projects.  I will also be working closely with the marketing team to help manage and execute activities related to event marketing shows and tradeshows, turning ideas into action!
