At the Early Childhood Investment Corporation, I will be communicating with collaborative groups, school districts and residents of Michigan about the importance of keeping young children a priority. My duties range from web maintenance and social media to advocacy and public policy.

Working as the Residential College of Arts and Humanities' Communications Manager gives me the opportunity to tell the campus, the greater Lansing area and communities outside of Michigan about the work of RCAH students and faculty. I'm responsible for managing publicity for upcoming events, maintaining the website, and collaborating with designers and photographers to create branded RCAH materials. In the month or so that I've been at RCAH, my excitement about current and upcoming projects has multiplied--from RCAHive (the new student magazine) to visiting artists at the college to the continually expanding and evolving online presence for the college, I've got so much to share with current and prospective students.

This position has allowed me to gain experience by applying my knowledge and skills in a creative work environment. Creating designs for logos, invitations and brochures. Collaborating with the Communications Coordinator and Executive Director.  Working within a team, but also independently.

Manage large, complex insurance carrier groups. Responsible for customer relationship management for entire client lifecycle (Pre-sales, Implementation, Ongoing). Key focus is on growth, retention, and referrals of existing book of business.

Responsible for developing strategic athletic donor stewardship and event initiatives by sustaining positive and mutually-rewarding relations between the Athletic Department and its donors; partner with university colleagues and coaches to determine the best strategies for effective stewardship of donors; maintain ongoing and active networking with internal and external constituencies; and provide event management for increased donor engagement.

Vertafore develops software that is used by insurance companies and agencies to help them manage their statutory compliance.  Project managers works with our new clients when they purchase the Vertafore product suite in order to get the product configured according to their individual needs and to help them learn and test the application to make sure it is working for them.  In Managed Services, we work with existing clients that need modifications, enhancements or custom development beyond what was done in their initial implementation.  I am responsible not only for delivering their requests, but also developing product offerings for our customers to enhance the value of the Vertafore solution.

Provide therapy to elderly people to help them be as independent as possible with the goal of returning to prior level of living before admission to hospital.

I work with the Marketing Creative Group to draft, edit, and proofread copy for TechSmith marketing and sales initiatives, collaborating with designers to complete most projects. I also work within the TechSmith content management system developing content strategy for webpages on TechSmith.com, creating new pages and editing existing pages.

Almost everyday I go in I do something different. Sometimes, I type up notes. Other days I’ll read articles and write notes on whatever Catherine needs out of it or what she thinks I need to know. Right now it’s more focused on learning than anything else.

As communications coordinator, Kylie plays an active role in all areas of communication for Delta Dental including, but not limited to, corporate communications, public relations and social media. In this position, she writes and distributes articles, press releases, communication plans, presentations and collateral materials, and assists in developing and executing public relations efforts both for the company and the Delta Dental Foundation. In addition, Kylie provides media analysis, executes social media strategies for the organization and assists in planning special events both internally and externally.
