Purpose: This position will provide project support for research projects, including scheduling and conducting field interviews, data entry and adherence to protocol. The Research Assistant provides support for project reports and coordination and communication of project activities as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities: Contacts study participants by telephone and schedules interviews, arranging date, time, and location for face-to-face interviews, Travels to various locations throughout the state to conduct face-to-face interviews, Conducts interviews with rigorous attention to interview protocol, quality assurance procedures, and human subjects’ protections, Interacts with respondents in a professional and courteous manner, Documents data collection and entry activities according to quality assurance protocols, Researches and verifies participant contact information when necessary, Conducts project related mailings such as reminder post-cards, Performs tasks related to management of study sample, Supports collection of survey data during face-to-face recruitment as needed, Document data collection and entry activities according to established protocols, Assists in testing online survey instruments and other project related software, Assist in the management of sample and documenting of data collection and/or entry, by performing assigned tasks as necessary, Coordinate weekly or bi-weekly project team meetings, monthly staff meetings, and other meetings as needed, Prepares sections of reports and other written documents as needed, Coordinates logistics for statewide travel when necessary including transportation, lodging, and per diem, according to company travel policies and procedures, Maintain a positive, strong, credible, professional and interpersonal relationship with all parties affiliated with MPHI projects.
