Description:
This position functions as an entry to advanced level Information Systems Analyst/Programmer on the Central Office Support Area.  The employee will participate in a variety of assignments that provide for the development, enhancement and maintenance of the Local Accounting System Replacement (LASR) and Bureau Information Tracking System (BITS) Wed applications in a complex environment.  The architecture and specifications for LASR is a complex computer system in Oracle Financials.  This analyst will need to have skills in Oracle, SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, and Oracle's 61 Development tools and use other Oracle tools as well as skills in .Net, Web Development and Business Objects.  This position also will assess user problems and needs, design, develop, implement, and develop database applications in support of the Department of Human Services.  It is expected that the employee will become familiar with Agency Service and [procedures and assist in development and maintenance of highly complex computer applications.

Requirements:
Education
Possession of a bachelor's degree with 21 semester (32 term) credits in computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, or mathematics.

Experience
No specific type or amount is required.
 
Possession of an associate's degree with 16 semester (24 term) credits in computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, mathematics or equivalent; and two years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, or information technology technician may be substituted for the education requirement.

Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and three years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, or information technology technician may be substituted for the education requirement.
