As an intern, you will work directly with the Early Childhood Investment Corporation (Michigan Sandbox Party) staff and gain valuable skills while assisting with event planning, membership recruitment and organizational development for the Early Childhood Investment Corporation (Michigan Sandbox Party). The successful candidate will focus efforts on the organization’s statewide Michigan Sandbox Party membership recruitment and engagement efforts. This paid internship can provide school credit, portfolio-building experience, a flexible schedule and valuable experience in the non-profit, communication and event-planning industries. Candidate must be energetic, a team player, results-oriented and dedicated to the achievement of personal and team goals. This internship requires a candidate with confidence in interpersonal communication, comfort with in-person membership cultivation and a passion for making a difference in the lives of infants, children and their families in Michigan. The Special Events/Communications Intern is a paid internship, starting in July and ending September 30. This individual will serve as a member of the Communications Team and will report to the Sr. Communications Director and the Special Events Manager. The position’s primary focus is to provide support to the Communications Team in the execution and coordination of special events for the Early Childhood Investment Corporation (Michigan Sandbox Party).
