Tax Season Intern

The position is part-time and seasonal during the tax season.
Starts about January 4th and ends about April 15th
Hours: Monday thru Friday. There is a possibility that some Saturday work may be required. Part-time 10
– 20 hours a week. Hours expected to be between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM. We are flexible with
scheduling to accommodate students schedule, to the extent practical for business needs.
Pay - $8.00 to $10:00 per hour, depending on tax experience and classes taken

Duties:
Assist with tax preparation: Input data from Forms W-2, Forms 1099 and other forms into the tax
preparation software; print and assemble tax returns; Efile batch tax return to the IRS; resolve errors on
efile transmissions and re-transmit returns; take information and forms from clients and prepare
information for tax preparers. Other duties as assigned.
Assist with other office duties, including, client scheduling and schedule changes, answering telephones,
client return pick-ups, etc.

Additional Requirements:

Qualifications: Must be able to use Excel and Word. Accounting and tax classes helpful. Must have
good communication and customer service skills. Must work well in professional office setting.

Information Services Intern

The Information Services Intern will gain exposure to a fast paced IT department and have the ability to learn and practice skills in several areas of the department including the virtualization, data center and asset management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  1. Participate in printer strategy team, including developing best practices for user printer needs policy.
  2. Work in Data Center on final stages of virtualization project. 
  3. This includes identifying and pulling old servers and cable from racks. 
  4. Scan, inventory, and index equipment into new asset management system.
  5. This includes identifying equipment types and models, and entering information for asset tracking.
  6. Other duties and experiences as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
  1. All candidates must be currently enrolled in a college/university program leading to an Associates or Bachelors degree
  2. Preferred majors: Information Systems / Technology Management, Computer Science, Computer Engineering
  3. Must be currently matriculating or a recent graduate with a major in the aforementioned areas
  4. Must be available to work 40hrs/week, Monday through Friday, for 10-weeks starting at the beginning of May 2012
  5. 3.0 GPA or above preferred
  6. Ability to exercise sound judgment, professionalism
  7. Effective communicator
  8. Proficiency in use of Word, Excel, and Power Point, applications
  9. Intermediate computing skills preferred
  10. Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation
