After spending 50 weeks touring the country’s 50 capital
cities, California native Sue Parks placed Lansing on her list of top “10 Cool
Capitals” and recognized Lansing as having the best river walk.
According to excerpts from the article:
"I think your city's so pretty," said the
walking advocate and founder of WalkStyles, Inc., a company that sells
walking-related products. "I had never been to Lansing so I had no idea
what the city was going to be like. We had just a gorgeous morning."
The 51-year-old walked the city's river trails on Oct. 4.
A group of about 30 accompanied her as she zipped along the trails where she
could see the state Capitol and the charm of Old Town.
