VIDEO Studio Intrigue

It’s always refreshing to meet business owners who put their money where their mouth is. You can’t find a better walking example of this than Studio Intrigue Owners Dave Vanderklok and Kenneth Jones.

In 2003, Vanderklok and Jones opened their architecture firm in Okemos, an area of Mid-Michigan known for wide green space and office parks. As Studio Intrigue’s downtown redevelopment portfolio grew, so did their desire to get closer to the multi-use, walkable projects they were working on. So, they rehabbed the 1114 S. Washington building in redeveloping REO Town, and moved in.

Now Studio Intrigue is the go-to architecture firm for the young, innovative developers who are revitalizing Downtown Lansing.

Vanderklok recently took some time away from the drawingboards to talk to Capital Gains’ Kraig Westfall about Studio Intrigue’s roll in the polishing of Downtown Lansing.
