Editor's Pick: Frost Fest 2012

On Saturday, Feb. 18, Downtown Lansing Inc. puts together an awesome event for us to embrace what little of winter we've got left, on the 200 block of S. Washington with Frost Fest 12.

If you’re a die-hard Euchre player (or you lost to a team last year!), the “Cold Butt” Euchre Tournament make its come back; beer lovers can get a taste of the “Plaid Penguin,” a Frost Fest Microbrew exclusive - alongside other beers, some wine and cider too! Music lovers can enjoy performances by national act and headliner, Company of Thieves, with special guests Mike Mains & The Branches and Redbird.

Did I mention you can play ice checkers and chess? Nuff said.

Chilly Frost Fest-ivities will be enjoyed in a heated tent from 6 p.m. onward, with an after party at the Tin Can. Tickets are $15 in advance, $17 at the door. Sadly, you have to be over the age of 21 to take part in this frigid event.
