Dart's Development Difference Program Showcases Michigan Success Stories

Dart Development Group got 2010 off to a positive start with its Dart Development Difference Campaign by focusing on successful Michigan businesses.

Dart Development Group draws attention to a select Michigan business that is "making a difference" in the state's economy and local communities each month. "The program has really taken off," says Marsha Zimmerman of Dart Development Group. "The number of growing businesses submitted each month for consideration is outstanding." Each month's selection is featured on the Michael Patrick Shiels Show on 1240am in Lansing.

The business for May is Okemos-based Draths Corporation, which was founded in 2005 and is a high-tech start up company. Draths has received over $27 million of investment capital in hopes of coming up with new manufacturing methods for chemicals used in products like plastic bottles and carpet fibers.

Draths researchers are moving into a 30,000 sq. ft. facility located in Dart Development Group's Oakwood Executive Park this summer. The space has been specially customized to meet all of Draths research, development and administrative needs.

"We are proud to provide an opportunity for the success stories in our region to shine and hope the Dart Development Difference expands into other avenues," says Zimmerman.
